| What are the benefits of setting up my Shared Services & Outsourcing Centre (SSOC) in MSC Malaysia? |
a. The MSC Malaysia Bill of Guarantees, which promises the following benefits:
1. Unrestricted employment of local and foreign knowledge workers
1. Freedom of ownership by being exempted from local ownership
requirements
1. World-class physical and information infrastructure
2. Competitive financial incentives, including no income tax for up to
10 years, or an investment tax allowance, and no duties on
import of multimedia equipment
3. Freedom to source capital globally and the right to borrow funds
globally
4. Intellectual property protection and cyberlaws
5. No internet censorship
6. Globally-competitive telecommunications tariff
7. MDeC as a one-stop support centre

a. SSO Criteria:
1 . 70% exports by end of year 3 from the date of MSC
Malaysia approval
2 . Minimum 100 employees by end of Year 3 from the date
of MSC Malaysia approval
3 . 70% of total investment to be in an MSC Malaysia-
designated area within 6 months of MSC Malaysia approval
4 . To maintain a minimum 85% knowledge workers at all time |
