| The proposed R&D project aims to provide advanced retail analytics and deliver the highest business value to retailers. The project will develop the next version of InsightView that is capable of assisting retailers in their daily decision making. eInsightView will incorporate four innovative functionalities which includes: |

Data Mining and Business Performance Optimization - Application of different data mining algorithms and models for different type of analysis within the retail value chain. Different algorithms will also be combined for a single analysis issue, if required. |

| 2. |
Pattern Recognition - Is used to analyze the type and shape of the data so that appropriate algorithms can automatically be applied to produce the most accurate result. This feature addresses the problem faced by Business Intelligence users in selecting the most appropriate algorithm for a specific analysis. |

| 3. |
Visual Intelligence - Is used to display the complex relationships of information and rules in a clear and easy to understand manner. |

| 4. |
Analytics Integration - Publishes the discovered rules and pattern so that the operational system becomes more 'intelligent'. |

| Clarify Consulting has identified a set of data mining algorithms and mathematical models to solve different retail analysis, e.g. determine optimal pricing for a product. For pattern recognition, Artificial Neural Network algorithms will be utilized. |
