Qualifying Criteria
MSC Malaysia Cybercity and Cybercentre eco-system aims to create a competitive enabling environment to attract, nurture and retain ICT and ICT-enabled industries. In this context, MDEC is mandated by the Government of Malaysia to benchmark and set criteria and standards and process applications for the MSC Malaysia Cybercity and Cybercentre status. Rollout of MSC Malaysia enabling environment in the forms of MSC Malaysia Cybercity and Cybercentre status will be conducted in stages based on readiness of identified sites to meet the stipulated MSC Malaysia criteria and standards, and value proposition for economic growth.
Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (formerly known as Multimedia Development Corporation) a unique organization established to direct and oversee MSC Malaysia, the national ICT development initiative, by advising the Malaysian Government on legislation and policies, developing industry-specific practices and setting the standards for multimedia and digital operations. MDEC is also responsible for promoting MSC Malaysia locally and globally, whilst providing strategic support to MSC Malaysia Status Companies.
