Important Warning: Fraudulent Job Offers

We have recently been made aware of instances of fraudulent letter of job offer purportedly issued by MDEC.

Please be aware of the following:

  1. Letters of job offer from MDEC are usually issued in hardcopy and collected personally by the candidates. Letters of job offer will only be sent via email when the candidate is not able to collect the letter but requires the letter urgently. In such circumstances, the letter will be emailed via MDEC corporate mail servers directly to the candidate.  
  2. Under no circumstances will MDEC issue job offers from free internet email services like Gmail, Yahoo Mail etc.
  3. MDEC does not authorize or appoint any third party to conduct job interviews or negotiate the terms of employment on behalf of MDEC.
  4. MDEC does not charge any fee or request for any deposit from potential candidates for purpose of securing a job offer.

If you are suspicious of any job offers purportedly issued by MDEC, you should immediately contact our Human Capital Department (Puan Suzana Nawardin, Tel: 03-8314 1808; email: suzana@mdec.com.my).

We have lodged police reports over instances of fraudulent job offer that were brought to our attention and will render all assistance as may be required by the relevant authorities.
