Enhancing Skills, Globalizing Talent

K-workers Development Initiatives (KDI) aims to facilitate the current and future demands of industry-relevant talent by the local ICT industry, especially by MSC Malaysia status companies. Towards this end, KDI offers various programmes encompassing career awareness, skills training, industry attachments, curriculum alignment at Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs) as well as  demand-supply projection. In executing its programme, KDI works closely with relevant ministries and agencies to ensure sustainable, effective and successful implementation.

While new and improve programmes are formulated, we would like to announce the following:

  1. MyProCert (SRI) Programme

The MyProCert (SRI) incentive will be discontinued after 31 December 2016. Beginning 1 January 2017 the selected skillsets offered by MyProCert (SRI) programme will be embedded into HRDF’s existing strategic initiatives or schemes. Please visit their website at http://www.hrdf.com.my/wps/portal/PSMB/MainEN/Schemes for more information on HRDF’s strategic initiatives and programmes.
  1. Industry Academia Collaboration (IAC) & MyUniAlliance Programme

All IAC related activities and MyUniAlliance Programmes will cease immediately unless otherwise notified. However, in order to ensure a steady supply of skilful and relevant talents by the Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs), new industry related programmes will be formulated targeting primarily the Premier Universities and Premier TVET institutions.
  1. ICT as a Career of Choice (ICT-COC) & STEM Exploration Centre

The ICT-COC and STEM Exploration Centre are now embedded into MDEC’s Digital Maker Movement programme. Please visit http://www.mydigitalmaker.com/ for more information on the programme that inspires young Malaysians to become future digital innovators.
