Let’s Accelerate campaign targets local ICT entrepreneurs, startups as well as public to encourage them to build viable tech businesses or boost existing ventures. It highlights real successes, acceleration opportunities and support structures available in Malaysian startup ecosystem.


The Let’s Accelerate campaign aims to further encourage Malaysians to become entrepreneurs and help get their ideas off the ground and into fruition. The campaign carries a message to Malaysians to take on the entrepreneurial path and connect with us to create a sustainable tech startup.

Andrew Wong (Co-Founder, Bootstrap Accelerator)
Andrew Wong founded Bootstrap Accelerator Asia with Ben Levy, partner at Bootstrap Labs in Silicon Valley. He will be giving his take on what it takes to be an ICT startup, besides providing his views on the startup scene in the country.

5.15pm-6pm (Jan 23, Thu)

Farhan Hafetz (Founder, myDoctor)
Farhan Hafetz launched myDoctor after going through guidance at the Founder Institute, a global accelerator programme. MyDoctor recently received a seed fund offer and is in the process of finalising and launching the app in this month. He will be sharing with listeners his startup journey.

Janice Tan (Co-Founder, AlphaPod)
Making beautifully crafted mobile apps is what Malaysia-based mobile development studio AlphaPod does best. Janice will share with listeners what AlphaPod can do to lift their plans to build an App to greater heights with their assistance. Previously, Alphapod participated in the MSC Malaysia Pre-Seed with their food finder app, Wootfood.

Lee Weng Ching (Founder, DecisionIT)
Lee is the founder of DecisionIT. In this interview, he will share with listeners how his company's Business Intelligence solutions can help clients from various industries, such as retail & wholesale, banking, manufacturing and transport & logistics. Also he is one of the top 4 participants from Digital Malaysia Corporate Accelerator Programme (DM CAP).

Benson Chang (Founder, TableAPP)
TableAPP is a free application that provides online restaurant reservation services for diners and guest-management solutions for restaurants. Benson will recall how the mentoring from Digital Malaysia Corporate Accelerator Programme (DM CAP) helped to pivot his idea from food reviews into TableAPP and share his success story, thus far, with the listeners.

Ramesh Balakrishnan (Founder, theResidenz)
theResidenz is an integrated residential software targeted at the high end residential sector (high end condominium, serviced apartment and gated community). Ramesh, a former Digital Malaysia Corporate Accelerator Programme (DM CAP) graduate, will share with the listeners on the potential of this unique App for the residential communities.

12pm-1pm (Feb 26, Wed), Red FM (104.9)

Tzu Ming Chu (Director, KLFI)
Tzu Ming is the Director of Founder Institute's Kuala Lumpur chapter. In this slot, he will share with the listeners the strategies on how to bring App ideas to the fore, besides sharing the success stories of FI thus far.

Vincent Lee (Founder of Wavelet Solutions)

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (formerly known as Multimedia Development Corporation) a unique organization established to direct and oversee MSC Malaysia, the national ICT development initiative, by advising the Malaysian Government on legislation and policies, developing industry-specific practices and setting the standards for multimedia and digital operations. MDEC is also responsible for promoting MSC Malaysia locally and globally, whilst providing strategic support to MSC Malaysia Status Companies.
