Record nominees for APICTA 2009
The total of 383 nominees competing for the 10th MSC Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) 2009 awards at the Putra World Trade Centre on 8 October is the largest number so far in its nine year history. These numbers are up from the 359 nominees last year and this also is the first time when the annual MSC Malaysia APICTA awards is jointly organised by MDeC and PIKOM..

Local company aims high in RFID industry
A MALAYSIAN company hopes to become a world leader in radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology in the near future. MDT specialises in mini RFID reader chips such as the UMR 300. This is a USB-based reader that is designed for use in the retail industry to scan items that have been fitted with RFID receivers which the company also produces.

Funding boost for Malaysia's mobile developers
Malaysian mobile app developers have received a funding boost following Nokia's collaboration with MSC Malaysia and Cradle Fund via The Nokia Mobile Content Developer initiative which aims to provide support to the developer community and encourage digital content development in conjunction with the recently announced MSC Malaysia Integrated Content Development (ICON) program.
