Malaysia welcomes k-workers from all over the world to work hand in hand with local k-workers with a policy allowing unrestricted employment of foreign k-workers.

MSC Malaysia acts as a facilitator for MSC Malaysia Status Companies in obtaining necessary work permits for Foreign Knowledge Workers (FKW) with the support of the Immigration Department of Malaysia (IDM) and Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC).
The process of obtaining a Pass is divided into two stages:
Stage 1 - Approval Stage
In Stage 1, the company will be required to submit to MDeC the application forms for the employment of FKW. Approval is given within three (3) working days from the date of complete submission.
Stage 2 - Endorsement Stage
Stage 2 requires submission of passports and other relevant documents to the Immigration Department for issuance and endorsement of passes. This process will take a minimum ten (10) working days.
