MSC Malaysia, through its strategic initiatives, is striving to turn the creative multimedia industry into one of the main engines of growth for Malaysia by engaging creative multimedia companies and individuals to spearhead the use of digital technologies to produce high quality creative content. |
|
Through its Creative Multimedia Department, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) has initiated a series of creative content competition in 2006. The competition now has become an annual event that covers 4 types of creative multimedia content. |
|
|
|
The main objective of this competition is to unearth and enhance the capability of local talents in terms of the development of new intellectual property (IP) and help spur the growth of the creative multimedia industry under the MSC Malaysia Creative Multimedia Content Initiative (M-CMCI). |

| Animation |

| 6 winners will receive RM 50,000 each to develop their 3 minutes short animation |
|
|
|
|
|
 |
| Computer Casual Games |
 |
| Closing date - 2nd July 09 |
|
| 5 winners will receive RM 50,000 each to develop their 30-45 minutes casual game play |

|
|
|
 |
| Digital Interactive Comic |
 |
| Closing date - 2nd July 09 |
|
| 10 winners will receive RM 20,000 each to develop their 50 pages comic illustration and digital interactive comic. |

| Mobile Games |

|
| 5 winners will receive RM 50,000 each to develop their completed playablemobile games content. |

| What to Expect |
|
This unique competition is open to amateurs and professionals from the creative multimedia industry. It is a competition which is richly supplemented with a 'step-by-step' and 'how-to' workshops for the benefit of the participants.
Judges are selected from among the best in the industry. Creative ideas and the ability to pitch confidently will come in handy when finalists meet face-to-face with them during the pitching day.
At the end of the competition, winners will receive a sum of money, a development lair at Cyberjaya, unlimited access to Creative Applications and Development Centre facilities and consultancy from experts in the field. |

| Potential home-grown creative contents will stand a chance to gain international recognition. MDeC reserves the right to showcase the product for promotion purposes while the intellectual property remains with the creator. |
